Giant killing was underated af ao ashi and giant killing is top 2 football ones with the in depth it has and expresses it while tsubasa had a bit of depth but not as much as these 2, i cant wait for season 2 of this anime though with they way they ended it and i cant wait to see how Aoi’s relationship goes with the manager’s sister and how he improves alot more in the A team, hopefully we see him score more frequently too since seeing his expression after scoring just made me so much happier for him

The one they should make is Be Blues. The manga is already finished too, 500 chapters. It's great

The in game match animation is actually good there's nothing wrong with it

Eh...it definitely could be better. People who actually watch football like myself find the animation to be a little lacking and unrealistic at times..

I'm currently reading the manga, and boy oh boy is it helpful. I've learned so much theory from the anime and manga (mostly manga), and last night was the first time ever that I could actually understand the plays made by Belgium and Croatia, and I could understand why someone would choose to pass back instead of front (the space being blocked off by the defenders), as well as different play styles such as pressing the opponents (Croatia), or counter-attack (Belgium), and how a team with weaker players on average (Croatia) beat powerhouse countries time and time again, etc. Also stuff like subbing out a player in order to change the formation and play style to adapt to the opponent's play style, such as Belgium subbing in Lukaku and Hazard in the second half to take full advantage of their counter-style play during that match. Oh and I can also tell when it would be bad to do a cross or who should move to defend and where they should move, when they should hang back, etc.

Now I actually enjoy watching football every moment of it, as opposed to blankly staring at the screen, waiting for a goal so I could start paying attention...

Yep...football is an extremely tactical sport. Even the smallest things have some tactical reason behind them most of the time like you were saying. Ao Ashi does a great job of delving into that side of the game while still keeping the drama and entertainment.

It's focus wasn't to be like an in-game feel but to focus on the emotional highlights within a game and Aio's personal epiphanies as his development progressed.

That doesn't mean that they can't make the animation just a little more smooth. I'm happy with the adaptation of course, but that doesn't mean I can't request some improvement in some areas

If we get a second season, it would shift the perspective to the team as a whole and not only Aoi. Although that would happen later on. After that is established for a while, the main focus would return to Aoi once again (depends if next season would also have 24 episodes; in that case, a lot can be covered).

Since it's Production I.G, it should be good.

Read the manga. It's amazing, you won't regret it. The scope of youth football and the world-building will simply shock you to the core. It's that good.

Well Hana's feelings have become very clear, I'm not surprised but the way she was acting was surprising, she's lucky Ashito is oblivious to such signals lol. I'm sure he's taken aback by her cheer though, I bet she's going to be up all night regretting kissing his forehead lol.

It was sad to see why she had a strong reaction to Ashito saying her cheers give him power, she must have felt so useless when Fukuda was injured because she couldn't do anything to help him and that is still effecting her even now so I'm glad Ashito did say that to her.

Seeing Ashito controlling the game like that was so exciting, I'm glad his defending position has really helped broaden his scope of plays and he's even understanding stuff he didn't understand before, it's great to see him improving continuously like this. I'm glad he finally got to score after a long while and the way he set it up like that was great.

It's unfortunate Tachibana wasn't able to be promoted alongside Ashito and Ohtomo, hopefully he'll continue improving in the B Team without the two present so that he can catch up to them later on. I'm sure he'll be okay since he's overcome his insecurities but I'm sure part of him will feel left behind.

Seeing Nozomi smiling at Ashito was so sweet, he's really proud of him, I'm glad we finally got to see a smile on that stern face of his lol.

This was such a great series, I really enjoyed the characters, the drama and matches so I really hope this gets another season. This was definitely one of the top anime of this anime season for me and I'm sad to see it end, especially with no announcement of another season.

I'll be honest, this episode Hana kind of seemed to me like a girl falling for a guy just because he plays guitar in a band... *shrug* I guess I agree with Aoi, in that I wish she was less invested in seeing her stepbrother in him. :/ She still seems to be swept up in momentary flashes of emotion rather than anything solid, but... I guess that's young love. Not that I'd know. >_>

I feel hana doesn't really understand her feelings either
she could actually be falling in love with him, but thinking that it's just her seeing her brother in him
sure that may be why it started
but when feelings change it can be hard to let go of old thought processes and accept new ones

obv she probably does still see her brother in him to sometimes - but, to some extent, she definitely does see him for who he is and not just a replacement for her brother (per say)

Read the manga, it becomes clear later on. I doubt this would get a second season any time soon, if ever, so just read the manga. Everything's there.
